The event will focus heavily on the mainstream desktop PC segment with the anticipated launch of Intel’s 9th Generation of processors set to combat against the onslaught of AMD Ryzen.
Along with the handful of Z390 motherboards surfacing recently it’s almost guaranteed that Intel will be announcing their 9000 series at least as well as a brand new chipset to go along with them.
Intel’s 9th Gen Series will predominantly feature the i9-9900K, i7-9700K and i5-9600K which are rumored to feature 8 cores 16 threads for the i9 9900K, the first i9 processor for the mainstream desktop market.
8 cores 8 threads for the i7 9700K and 6 cores 6 threads for the i5 9600K.
Pricing has not been confirmed but listings for each have been spotted for around ~550 EURO, ~ 440 EURO and 300 EURO which is rather extraordinaire when factoring in previous generation models.
Packaging remains the same for the i5 and i7 this time around but a leaked box art shows that the i9 series will feature a new box design to set it apart from the rest. The box design is showcased in the Twitter video with a view from above.
