Adult Video Game Developer Hiqo Soft Files for Bankruptcy

Hiqo Soft, an adult video game developer known for their adult visual novels since 2004 have filed for bankruptcy on September 21st and was revealed on the October 3 issue of the National Printing Bureau’s Kanpō publication.

Hiqo Soft are known for their adult visual novels, making their debut with Sukumizu Police. Alongside that Hiqo Soft also released Yotsunoha in 2006 and Sakura Sakura in 2009. Both of which are planned to receive an official English release after a successful kickstarter fundraiser organised in collaboration between the developer and Sol Press.

Sol Press have stated that the localization of Sakura Sakura and Yotsunoha will not be affected by Hiqo Soft’s bankruptcy with both titles being prepped for a steam release with both an 18+ version and a version for all ages. Along with further plans to release Sakura Sakura on the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita on October 25th.
